So many projects, and LOTS of time...

""Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." — Lao Tzu."

That’s the mantra I’m choosing this season. Because when your work is purpose-driven—and guided by paws, peace, and possibility—every step matters. Some weeks it looks like quiet focus. Others, it’s a whirlwind of new ideas, community-building, and learning curves. But underneath it all? A steady rhythm of calm leadership and joyful progress.

This week, I want to share a few things unfolding behind the scenes—and how they might just help you create more calm, confidence, and connection in your own journey.

Also, let's pull back the curtain on the Myth of Catching Up. (Something I'm letting go of...)

So, let's get to it!

What's happening in the Fetch Happy Community?

We have heads down fixing tech stuff working with pet parents AND small business owners - it reminded me that there is truly time for everything and we are doing a LOT of new things including:

  1. Thank you and gratitude. We've gotten several new good reviews for Completely Calm and we are grateful!
  2. New Affiliate Program - If you're enjoying Completely Calm and want to share it AND earn some income, join our new affiliate program. You can join from our website (scroll down to the bottom) and start earning today.
  3. The New Community is COMING SOON! After months of deciding and preparing, we are getting ready to open the Peaceful Paws Collective. Click here to read all about it and be one of the first in line.

🐾 The Myth of “Catching Up”

Ever feel like you're behind on… everything?
Training your dog. Feeding your soul. Starting that project. Fixing that behavior. Launching that dream.

Here’s a quiet truth:
You’re not behind. You’re in rhythm.

The myth of “catching up” tells us we should be somewhere else, further along, more productive, more together. But your dog doesn’t believe that story. Neither does nature.

They live in the now.
They pause when tired.
They bark when boundaries are crossed.
They play, then nap, without apology.

You’re allowed to do the same.
To shift your pace. To start something new. To stop something old.
To listen ... to your dog, to your body, to your heart.

So if you’re juggling a lot right now, here’s your permission slip:
You don’t need to catch up. You need to realign.

With your values.
With your dog.
With what actually matters this season.

🌿 Here’s How to Realign (Instead of Catch Up):

🐾 Pause and Observe
Notice where your energy actually goes each day. Are you spending it where it matters - or just trying to stay afloat?

🐾 Pick One Priority
Not five. Not ten. Just one thing that feels meaningful—for you or your dog - and let that be your anchor this week.

🐾 Build Micro-Moments of Calm
A deep breath before the next task. A 5-minute walk without your phone. A few belly rubs in the sunshine. Calm adds up.

🐾 Honor Natural Timing
Dogs don’t rush their growth. Neither should you. Whether it's training, healing, or creating - trust the season you're in.

What About You?

What’s your one priority this week—the thing that feels most aligned with the season you’re in?

Hit reply and tell me.
I read every note, and I’d love to cheer you on.

In fact, even though I've been speaking publicly for almost 30 years to help people lead their lives and businesses with joy and alignment, I STILL get nervous every time I open my mouth. Or press send. :-) But that "What if?" monster is getting quieter more often. And that's a good thing. And calm confidence is what I wish for...

When overwhelm is imminent, it's time to stop. Ping. Ring. Ding. Notification. Repeat. Check the phone. Look at email. Answer questions. Take a call. (What was I doing?) Oh yeah, trying to focus. Start over. Stop again. Text message. Turn off the phone. Silence at last. (Now what was I trying to accomplish again?) Can you relate? Do you struggle with information overload and trying to keep up with spam calls, emails, news and general "junk"? Six months ago, I had had enough. I found myself...

It's my first real newsletter in quite a while. And a little raw. It's about life and the pursuit of calm for...
